Objectives and Methodology
To develop in Seventh-day Adventist members and pastors in the "first
world" a renewed ownership of this Movement's Message and Mission as well
as confidence that God will work through each to achieve His objectives by
making public evangelism a lifestyle of each congregation utilizing the
following methodology:
- Provide each speaker, free of charge:
- Sermon notes designed to help the speaker put each point in his/her own words, look at the audience and communicate with passion
- Integrated audience graphics designed to affirm the Biblical foundation of
the message while holding the audience's attention,
- Develop an interactive ShareHim website on the Internet:
- To list Homeland and International campaign sites along with basic
information needed by prospective guest speakers,
- So those willing to preach a campaign can apply and provide the information
needed for screening purposes,
- To inform applicants and host church organizations, congregations about the
terms of participation,
- To match evangelists with campaign sites
- To facilitate denominational policy requirements for church-related
international travel such as, processing service requests and purchasing basic
insurance coverage.
- Offer organizational and motivational assistance to church organizations,
both at home (Homeland Campaigns) and abroad (International Campaigns), so they
will:
- Identify congregations willing to host campaigns and group a minimum of three
campaign sites (within a 30 to 40 minute drive) around a "Hub City," (previously called Hotel City)
- Place the information about the "Orientation City," "Hub Cities"
and Campaign sites on the Internet,
- Communicate to "first world" members and pastors
- The opportunity to preach campaigns,
- The need for pastors and qualified members (who have held three or more
ShareHim campaigns) to serve as mentors while preaching their own
campaign, and invite them to apply on the Internet.
- Cooperate with The Quiet Hour to provide financial support to students and
supervising faculty of Seventh-day Adventist Educational Institutions in the
"first world" so they can preach international campaigns.
- Provide a Campaign Manager for each International Date Block to:
- Serve as the primary contact with the applicants for each date block.
- Organize the applicants for that date block into groups ensuring there is a
qualified mentor for each group and match the speakers to specific sites.
- Visit the campaign area several months prior to the campaign to:
- Meet with pastors and local leaders so they will know what to expect,
- Inspect the hotels selected to confirm they meet basic criteria of
acceptability,
- Ensure pre-campaign preparation is adequate and under way,
- Confirm appropriated funding has arrived from their division.
- Conduct the one-day, pre-campaign, Orientation as scheduled
- Review the purpose and agenda of the daily mentorship meeting.
- During the campaign visit each "hub city" as many times as
possible, listen to guest evangelists, and lead out in the daily (except Sabbath)
mentorship meeting the following morning.
- Serve as liaison with the church organization sponsoring the campaigns.
