Personal Testimony of Michael Jackson.

“And I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me.” John 12:32

In the city of San Pedro de Macoris, in the Dominican Republic, the pastor wisely used my name to get the people into the tent. There was a huge parade on Sabbath after church, the day before opening night. A continuous recorded message echoed out loudly that Michael Jackson would be the guest speaker in the two week crusade. As we went from neighborhood to neighborhood, the people seemed to be in shock as they watched the parade and listened to these mysterious words. On opening night, the tent was packed.

But once we got them in there, we lifted up the name of Jesus and there was no escape. The Lord was true to his word. They may have come on the first night to see Michael Jackson, but they kept coming back not to see me, but according to the word of God, “I will draw all men unto me.” There was standing room only and the people spilled out onto the street listening to the word of God. The police warned us that we had to maintain the crowd and not block traffic in the street.

Every night they pressed in with such urgency that we were stunned. Old men and women on canes and young people would not be denied their opportunity to hear the word of God. As we watched in amazement, I thought, "Wow, all these people are coming to hear me!” Then the Holy Spirit quickly spoke to me saying, “No, they are coming to hear me.” There was a Spirit in the air and it wasn't because of me or my name. It was the mighty Spirit of God. My translator and I developed a good rhythm right away and it only got better and better each night as we grew accustomed to each other.

During the second week, I began making calls for baptism and each night. Groups of people came forward to give their lives to Christ which stunned the members and workers. By Friday night, by the grace of God, over 100 souls had taken their stand to be baptized. I could feel the power of God working through me and I didn’t want to let him down.

The most unforgettable thing was that God would actually use me in such a manner to accomplish his will.
