The Roma of Radomir

Campaign Site Narrative from Church Radomir, Radomir in Bulgaria. The speaker assigned to this site was Jonathan Michael.
I had the privilege of working with the Roma people of Radomir, Bulgaria. The SDA church had about 65 members made up of around 16 family units. The church was full of youth and energy. A youth choir provided special music each night. On opening night, Friday, November 24, 2006, we had 80 in attendance with 50 of those being friends from the community. We met in a house basement that served as a restaurant/disco for the community. By the end of the meetings 25 people had turned in decisions to study toward baptism. Three were baptized the last Sabbath in Kyustendil that were results of the Radomir meetings (one through another site/church). Pastor Metodie felt confident that 10 more would be baptized in the spring of 2007 as a result of the meetings. My driver Valentin and his wife also opened up their hearts to Jesus and hope to be baptized in the spring in Kyustendil as well. It was an awesome experience to see the Gospel penetrate hearts and to watch people invite Jesus to abide eternally within them.
