Personal Testimony of Patricia Sanchez.

Hello, my name is Patricia Sanchez; I am a sophomore at Thunderbird Adventist Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona. I will turn 16 years old on April 18. I was born in Houston, Texas. I was baptized in September 15, 2001. My whole side of my mom’s family is Adventist and my whole dad’s side isn’t Adventist. I’m not sure what religion they are.

Here in Dominican Republic has been a wonderful experience for me. God can do a lot of things, and He has shown me a lot that I could have never imagined. At first preaching was very hard for me because I was always nervous, but once you’re up there everything goes away and you just keep going. I never thought I would be able to preach in a country so far away or preach at all. But I know that God has good plans for me in the present and in the past. He has used me for good down here, and He has shown me wonderful things to me. Dominican Republic is very different from the United States. The people are very nice down here, and the view is just so pretty. I remember that they had taken us to some river with this gorgeous waterfall that was so pretty, and there were these huge rocks that I had climbed on most of them. It was really fun; I enjoyed God’s nature a lot.

The food here is great, too! Every morning we usually wake up to go to breakfast, and then we have meetings to study our sermons. Then we have lunch and then we have a little bit of free time for ourselves until we leave to the churches around, 6:00 or 6:30 PM. Then I start preaching at 8:00 and finish around 9:00 or a little later if I go over. That is the schedule most of the time.

The sermons are great; they even taught me a lot that I would have never known. I thank you so much for the chance to do this! It has meant a lot to me.
