A Little Furniture Shop

Personal Testimony of Katrina Bradt.
The Dominican Republic is quite beautiful with its enchanting blue ocean and quaint nice houses. There is also a not so enchanting side. There are quite a few people living with nothing much but it is everything to them. Our group was welcomed with open arms. We were fed everyday by the people of the Central Church in La Vega.
I had the privilege of being able to go up to the nearby mountain city of Jarabacoa for my meetings. I had an open air furniture shop to preach in. How appropriate that I share the words of Jesus from a furniture shop. My site was probably the smallest of all the sites on our campaign. However, people came and crammed in on some days. I had a pretty consistent attendance from some Catholic youth. The Catholic Church has such a strong hold on people there. One young man was considering baptism but he backed out at the last minute. His family is all Catholic. Satan was working really hard up at my site. But, I know that God was working harder.
I will not know all the ways God worked on that campaign until I make it to Heaven. I just know that sharing God's word is what we are supposed to be doing right now. God said to go, so I went. The rest is up to Him.
