Campaign Site Narrative from Church 90, Cancun in Mexico-South. The speaker assigned to this site was Charles Haller.

We started with our crew of five at the site called Bonfil 2. There were about 50-60 people in attendance the first Friday night. More attended the Sabbath morning service. We were surprised Sabbath afternoon to find out that we had lost our translator for the Saturday night meeting. He had a previous engagement to watch his daughter at a large Vacation Bible School event. So a local elder conducted a Bible study. There was no one at the church who spoke English to help with translation.

On Sunday afternoon, we were informed that we were being transferred to the church in Region 240. We continued in Region 240 throughout the rest of the meetings. Our biggest surprise was that our translator at Church 240 was the same one who translated for us the first two nights at Bonfil 2.

Our attendance averaged between 30 and 60. The attendance was largest on weekends. Our biggest challenges were many people coming late to the meetings and getting to our church site on time, ourselves. Our driver was often late and sometimes almost an hour late. Our translator came just before the sermon and left almost immediately after the sermon. He was trying to not lose income from his summer taxi job. During the school year, he is a teacher.

The Lord blessed in thirty-three new decisions for Jesus. On the final Sabbath, two were baptized and the other thirty one are preparing for baptism very soon.
