Campaign Site Narrative from Uvilla 2, Uvilla in Dominican Republic B. The speaker assigned to this site was Selvin Duncan.

On our mission trip to the Dominican Republic, we had a good time. The Lord blessed us with 246 precious souls for His kingdom.

My venue was way out in the country—45 miles away from our hotel. The area looks very poor, but the few members of the church were very happy to have me there.

My interpreter was a Baptist young man, about 21 years of age. At the end of the meetings, I called him aside and I said to him, “You have preached my sermons for me. You have learned new truths. Are you going to let them go in vain?”

He looked at me with a smile and said, “Pastor, I think I will become a Seventh-day Adventist.”

Another interesting story is about the Pentecostal church next door to our church. Every evening, a group of young people met along with their pastor and they made joyful sounds with loud singing and musical instruments. I thought that they were in competition with our meetings.

One evening I want over to meet the pastor, shook hands with him, and introduced myself. He smiled and was glad for my visit. One evening when I presented the Sabbath, close to the end of my sermon, the pastor walked in and sat in the back. He did not hear the full presentation, but I think that the Holy Spirit brought him there at that time. He came back another time to greet me.

Before I left, I gave him a gift for which we was very thankful. I promised him that he will hear from me when I get back to America. I will be sending him the book about the National Sunday Law and the Change of the Sabbath.
