Campaign Site Narrative. The speaker assigned to this site was Benjamin Jacobs.

Shrewsbury, MA ShareHim report. Program ran from May 13 - June 4. Speakers were Benjamin Jacobs and Olric McPhoy, both AUC theology students, who alternated preaching. Meetings were held on Friday evening at 7 p.m., and Sabbaths at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. We hosted a fellowship lunch each of the four Sabbaths to make it easier for folks to stay by for the 2:00 p.m. meeting.

The program was advertised by an ad in the Worcester Telegram, free public service announcements in local papers, a color flyer that church members passed out to friends starting two weeks before the launch date, a television interview with the speakers that started airing in Shrewsbury on public access cable TV on Thursday, May 12 (program aired ten times more during the course of the meetings), and a door-to-door distribution of the flyer in the immediate area of the church by three teams of church members on Sabbath afternoon, May 7.

About 100 people attended the meetings. This number includes everyone who came at least once or more. Two atheists who were invited by a church member friend attended faithfully every Friday night of the series. They listened carefully, taking notes, and several church members were able to make friends with them. On the final Sabbath two decisions were made for baptism. Six others indicated an interest in learning more about our beliefs.

Several children of the church provided special musical numbers during the meetings. Other church members and guest soloists also performed.

The church was excited about the outcome of this program. It was a great finale to our year of outreach programs.
