Can God Use Me? Even with Morning Sickness?

Personal Testimony of Priscilla Jovine.

Since the first campaign meeting on Friday night, I felt like I had no purpose here or reason to even be here. I was throwing up about 4 to 5 times a day, and here is my church promoting this evangelistic meeting by Priscilla Jovine from the United States. But who is Priscilla? I am no Doug Bachelor or Pastor Hartwell. I am just some pregnant lady from Pennsylvania, who has hardly preached before, and is puking every day. Why or how would the Lord use me!

Luckily, I have an amazing team that reminded me that, “It is not about me; It is about God!” The Lord doesn’t call the qualified; he qualifies the chosen. This was definitely proven one day in which my morning sickness was at its worse and the vomiting had burned my throat to the point in which it was so irritated that I was spitting up blood. I did not feel like preaching whatsoever that night; I was in pain and at my worse. I could hardly speak.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find coverage for that night, so we prayed and off I went to my meeting. That night I learned that while you’re at your worse, the Lord manifests his Glory in a powerful way. By the time I got up on the pulpit, my voice was recovered and it was probably one of the better sermons I have preached, and after my appeal around 20 people had stood up for the Lord, including people who had been there for the first time at the meetings.

Again, the Lord had proven to me that we are not the ones convicting people; it is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit doing the work. It does not matter how wretched, weak and useless you might feel, when you are working for the Lord and asking him in prayer to uplift you and work through you, He can do wonders and use you in a special way.
