Campaign Site Narrative from La Central de Alajuela, Alajuela in Costa Rica. The speaker assigned to this site was Randy Bivens.

We are one week into our campaign in the Central church here in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Over the weekend, a beloved 92 year old matriarch of the church died and the family asked that we allow her body to remain in the church for several days for the family to view. The pastor and my translator came to me somewhat concerned wanting to know what I thought. I asked him if there is an open casket in the front of the church, would this reduce attendance, and he thought that it wouldn´t have an impact and might even draw more people. So I told him that it would be ok with me and we conducted our Monday night meeting with this open casket right in front of the podium.

I was able to use this body as a visual prop during the program, and it turns out that even though we are in Costa Rica, I personally knew the family from PUC (her brother-in-law). This impressed the audience that we truly live in a small world. The devil is trying hard to slow down this message, but if we can adapt, God will work mightily.
