Join ShareHim as we partner in evangelism with fellow Adventist brothers and sisters in the beautiful East African nation of Kenya. There, YOU will have the privilege of being the guest speaker for a sixteen-day evangelistic campaign held by a local church.

Many ShareHim speakers are first-timers. We’ll give you ready-to-preach sermons, and one of our experienced trip managers will be there to help from beginning to end. All that’s required is the power of the Holy Spirit and your willingness to share the good news.

Mon Feb 27 — Departure (for participants from the Americas; participants from outside the Americas may depart on Tuesday)

Tue Feb 28 — Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya

Wed Mar 1 — Travel to Nakuru

Thu Mar 2 — Orientation

Fri Mar 3 — Start of evangelistic meetings

Mar 4-17 — Evangelistic meetings continue each day; Midweek local excursion first week

Sab Mar 18 — Close of evangelistic meetings & goodbyes

Sun Mar 19 — Visit wildlife park; late-night departure from Nairobi airport

Mon Mar 20 — Return home (for participants from the Americas)

 

LOCATION

On this trip we will be preaching campaigns held by churches in Nakuru, Kenya.

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Round-trip airfare to Nairobi, Kenya

ShareHim will book your travel from an airport near you to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. You may also depart earlier or return later if you wish.

Hotel & meals

You’ll be staying at a midscale hotel in Kenya. Rooming will be double occupancy, or you can request a single room for $370. You’ll receive more detailed information about your hotel once the campaign cities have been finalized.

Each day, we’ll provide vegetarian breakfasts, lunches, and drinking water. Suppers are not included, but you’ll be able to buy food locally and can bring snacks from home, such as dried fruit or trail mix.

Ground transport & excursions

From the time you land until you fly home, we will make all the arrangements for your ground transportation.

Midway through the first week, you’ll enjoy a fun half-day excursion to visit some of the local sights, and on the final Sunday, you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with some amazing African wildlife.

Travel insurance

You’ll be covered for the duration of the trip by travel insurance purchased from Adventist Risk Management. For more info, please see the class 1A policy summary from ACE Limited, the insurance provider.

Top-notch trip management & materials

You’ll be in good hands with one of our veteran ShareHim trip managers, who will be there to help you from start to finish. Together, they’ve led hundreds of successful ShareHim trips.

We’ll also provide you with the latest ShareHim presentation software and customizable sermons in the appropriate language.

 

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

To present the ShareHim sermons, you’ll need to bring a laptop computer or iPad and a video projector. You can borrow a video projector from ShareHim for $150 if you wish.

Citizens of most countries will need a visa to enter Kenya, which you can buy upon arrival in Nairobi for $50.

PARTICIPATION AMOUNT

This is an all-inclusive trip. Your participation amount will cover your trip expenses, including your airline tickets.

Your exact participation amount will depend on airline ticket prices from your departure city and how early you apply. Flying from a larger city and applying earlier generally results in the lowest participation amount.

To apply, please submit your trip application and $100. After your application has been approved, we will contact you to confirm your exact participation amount.

Current minimum all-inclusive amount from North America: $2700

Current maximum all-inclusive amount from North America: $3200

For participants from outside of North America, the participation amount will depend on airline ticket prices.

For children up to age 13, about special reduced amounts.

 

FUNDING DATES

When you apply: $100

Upon approval (normally a few days after you apply): $900

January 8: First half of your remaining amount (or upon approval if applying after Jan. 8)

February 5: Second half of your remaining amount

Space is limited and participation amounts rise as the trip nears, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. In general, applying at least two months before the deadline (by November 22) will result in the lowest participation amount.
